You must see the capital city of Malta, Valletta.
The city is packed with plays and concerts to attend, and exhibitions and street events too. It’s alive and thriving, and is the hub of Maltese tourism.
Go see the Museum of Archaeology in Valletta. There are prehistoric artifacts there, which is always a treat for travelers to Malta.
The War Museum of Malta is also there, as is the Grand Master’s Palace and St. John’s Cathedral of Malta reside there too.
Megalithic Temples of Malta
You must see the Megalithic Temples of Malta, which include Ggantija, the oldest temple in the world!
Many of these Maltese temples and Cathedrals contain catacombs, like those at St. Paul’s and St. Agatha’s of Malta.
There are also Forts in Malta like St. Angelo and Fort Rinella that is home to the largest canon in the world.
Plenty of WWII significant sites for war buffs, and the Mgarr war shelter.

Do not miss the Museum of Roman Antiquities in Malta, sometimes referred to as the Roman Villa, found in Rabat.

The Maltese National Museum of Fine Arts is the premier museum, housing the works of Caravaggio.
And the Palazzo Falzon of Malta houses a large collection of works in Mdina.
St. John’s Cavalier Art Center is great for contemporary works of art in Malta.
