Nature and Greenery in Malta

Malta is practically all a natural reserve, based on the looks of it.
The environment is so pristine and the people are so considerate of the beautiful nature that surrounds them. But there are some special places that have been set aside and protected by law, and these places are ideal for travelers to get a look at the most untouched nature of Malta.
Ta’Qali National Park is a huge, wide open space in the center of Malta where you’ll also find the National Stadium, the National Park, and a wonderful vegetable market which is locally referred to as the Pitkalija.
There’s also a crafts village, for those who delight in local folk art and crafts ware.
The highlight however is the untouched nature that surrounds it, open for picnicking and afternoon strolls. There’s also an amphitheater for outdoor concerts.
Visiting the National Gardens of Malta is a rare treat.
The San Anton Garden in Attard offers exquisite views of the Grand Harbor and fortifications built by the Knights of Malta.
This historical garden was built by Grand Master Antione De Paul in 1623.
Argotti Garden is similar. Built next to a great palace, the garden perfectly blends the grandeur of a historical garden with the lovely local nature of Malta.
These gardens are perfect for day trips, and many also have restaurants, concerts, and other events.
