Mnarja National Festival of Malta

Mnarja, sometimes called l-Imharja, is one the most important dates to the people of Malta, and is at the forefront of its cultural calendar.
It’s the national festival to feast in celebration of Saints Peter and Paul.
It can be traced all the way back to the pagan Roman feast called Luminaria, or the “Illumination”, when the summer month of June was brought to life with torches and bonfires.
Made complete with music, festivities, and of course, lots of food, this is an event that you can’t miss.

The Carnival Time in Malta
